Rachel Sottosanti was 19 years old when she left us. She left behind many memories.
Rachel lived life with a passion for many things, starting off with softball. She started softball
at the young age of 7 which lead her into a 3 year Varsity starting position as short stop for Westhill High School. She was captain in her senior year and lead her team not only on the softball field but as a friend, her teammates could count on. Rachel was the recipient of many scholarships and excelled during her time at
Southern Connecticut State University making the Dean’s List every semester. Continually giving back to her community by volunteering her time Rachel spent many hours working with children in both Stamford Youth Softball and Stamford Young Timers Basketball where she passed down her love and knowledge of the games.
The things people will remember most about Rachel was her warm smile and big heart. Rae would always put others before herself.

This event is held in memory of Rachel so we can raise awareness for suicide prevention and raise money to award scholarships to three female high school students who best embody Rachel’s spirit and exemplify her many outstanding qualities.
